What Camp Is

Tired, Proud,
And Asking To Come Back

Camp runs out of our own academy on Stuyvesant Ave with the same coaches who teach the year-round kids classes. Nothing is improvised and nobody is babysitting.

Days are built around real Jiu Jitsu instruction broken up with games, conditioning and teamwork challenges — enough structure that kids know what's next, enough variety that they never watch the clock.

Beginners are welcome and common. A large share of our year-round students came in through a camp week, decided they liked it, and never left.

A Day At Camp
Structured. Never Boring.
  1. 01

    Technique Blocks

Real curriculum, taught properly — the same positions our year-round kids learn.

  2. 02

    Games & Conditioning

Movement work disguised as competition. This is where the tired part comes from.

  3. 03

    Teamwork Challenges

Kids who arrive not knowing anyone leave with a group they'll see again in class.

  4. 04

    Supervised Downtime

Lunch, water and rest built into the day, watched by coaches the whole time.

Parent Questions

Camp,
Answered

Dates and pricing change by season — call (908) 578-2522 for this year's weeks.

What ages is camp for?

Camp follows our kids program age range — roughly 5 to 13, split into groups so activities match the age. Call the academy to confirm the split for the week you want.

Does my child need Jiu Jitsu experience?

Not at all. Camp is one of the most common ways kids in Union try Jiu Jitsu for the first time. Complete beginners are welcome and are never thrown in with experienced kids.

What should they bring?

Athletic clothes with no zippers or pockets, a refillable water bottle, lunch and a snack, and a change of clothes. Bare feet on the mat — shoes come off at the edge.

How do I reserve a spot?

Call (908) 578-2522 or send the request information form. Spots are limited each week to keep the coach-to-kid ratio right, so earlier is better.

Who supervises the kids?

The same coaches who teach our year-round kids classes, in our own academy on Stuyvesant Ave. Nobody is handed off to staff your child has never met.
